Sarah Ashcroft is our news editor. She writes our news articles detailing the latest updates in the law and any news in the media connected to our products and areas of law.
Daniel Jones is our features editor, writing feature articles on legal changes in the press, plus background information on when and how our products can be used.

Landlord & Tenant Law
Amer Siddiq writes for us about successful property management and tax saving for landlords. He is an experienced buy to let property investor and is the founder of Property Portfolio Software. He is co-author of Lawpack’s tax guides How to Avoid Landlord Taxes and 147 Landlords Tax Questions Answered.
Paul Shamplina is our tenant eviction expert. He is co-founder of Landlord Action; a company specialising in fixed-fee tenant eviction and debt recovery. He appears regularly on TV, radio and in the press; as well as speaking at seminars to landlords and letting agents. Since Landlord Action’s inception in 1999, Paul has helped to evict over 16,000 bad tenants.
Tessa Shepperson BA LLB is our residential lettings expert. She is a solicitor specialising in residential landlord and tenant/housing law. She provides online information, resources and guidance for residential landlords and tenants, and is author of Lawpack’s landlord legal guides Residential Lettings: The Complete Guide and The Essential Landlord's Guide to Tenant's Rights.
Tax
Hugh Williams is Lawpack’s tax expert. He runs HM Williams Chartered Accountants, which has won the prestigious Butterworth Tolley Best Tax Team Award and the coveted Daily Telegraph/Energis Customer Service Award. Hugh Williams and his team have written various guides for Lawpack including How to Run a Limited Company and 101 Ways to Pay Less Tax.
Employment Law
Melanie Slocombe is Lawpack's leading employment law author. She is a solicitor at Steen & Co, specialists in employment law, who advise on corporate transactions and on pan-European human resource issues. Her knowledge and expertise have produced several bestselling employment law titles including Lawpack’s Employment Contracts Kit.
Family Law
Philippa Pearson writes for us on cohabitation and divorce issues, and is the author of Lawpack’s Separation & Divorce Kit. She practises as a solicitor at Norris and Miles solicitors in Tenbury Wells, a firm specialising in family, private client, and company law, as well as commercial and civil litigation. She also writes and lectures on many aspects of family law.
Consultants
Richard Dew advises us on the legal side of writing a Will and is an approver of the contents of Lawpack’s Last Will & Testament Kit. He is an expert barrister at chambers Ten Old Square, Lincoln’s Inn, London.
