A Power of Attorney allows somebody to act on your behalf in times when you're unable to, perhaps through absence or illness. It can provide great peace of mind to know that your affairs will be managed well.

Important law changes: From 1 October 2007 Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPAs) have been replaced with Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). You will still be able to use and register an EPA made before this date, but if you need to register a pre-existing EPA after 1 October 2007, you must use a new type of application form. Lawpack has published a new edition of the Power of Attorney Kit to coincide with the law changes in October.
