Not making a will can lead to difficult situations

Writing a will is an important task for an adult, particularly in light of a recent story that has seen a widow sue her children.

The widow of a millionaire businessman is suing her kids, aged one and three, to gain control of her dead husband's estate, because he did not leave a will.

Legally, Mark Butler's estate has passed to the children of his wife Taryn Dielle but she is being forced to go through the courts in order to gain control of the estate.

The costly and damaging process could have been averted had Mr Butler written a will before his death.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, while the case is extreme it shows the problems that can be created if a will is not in place.

Many people worry about mounting legal fees when writing a will, but our Online Will lets you write a will using software provided by leading law firm Irwin Mitchell. Plus you can have peace of mind that it is checked by an Irwin Mitchell qualified lawyer.
