Gore's daughter separates after parents' split
The daughter of ex-vice president and documentary filmmaker Al Gore has separated from her husband, making the announcement just days after her parents' split.
Karenna Gore, the eldest daughter of the political couple, has reportedly been separated from her husband, Andrew Schiff, for months.
They had been married for 12 years and have three children together but it is not confirmed if they plan to file for divorce.
A friend of the family told People.com that the couple "have been separated for a couple of months and [are] in marriage counselling".
Last week Al Gore announced that he is divorcing wife Tipper after 40 years together.
In a statement they said that the move was a "mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration".
Both separations are said to be amicable.
Canadian singer Shania Twain has also finalised her divorce from ex-husband Robert Lange this week after a 14-year marriage.
