R Kelly to share custody with ex-wife
Singer R Kelly has finalised his divorce with his wife Andrea, with the couple agreeing to share joint custody of their children.
The pair, who separated in 2005, have three children together.
Andrea filed for an emergency restraining order against her husband and claimed in court that she had been harassed, stalked and physically abused by him.
In June, Kelly, famous for performing the song I Believe I Can Fly, was acquitted of charges regarding child pornography.
Following the conclusion of the case, one juror commented: "All of us felt the grayness of the case."
In 2007, meanwhile, Andrea told Essence Magazine
: "Some people in my position would probably be very broken right now, and they would probably be saying, 'Woe is me'. But I'm just not that person."
Kelly has sold more than eight million albums and also scored four number one albums.
