Those who are looking to sell regional city centre apartments should be very willing to accept offers, it has been suggested.
Director of real estate advisory firm DTZ Residential Russell Taylor commented that the oversupply of apartments in such locations is not about to see prices recover soon.
He commented: "Areas of oversupply, such as regional city centres, will be the ones that will see prices fall and buyers in these areas should be prepared to accept offers."
Those with such properties may be interested in undertaking DIY house selling to save on legal costs.
A recent increase in the number of homes for sale is likely to suggest more people are keen to sell than wishing to buy, Mr Taylor suggested.
Figures from Hometrack showed that the number of property sales agreed in February rose by 35.9 per cent on January's figures.
