A seller's photos are "fundamental"

When it comes to selling your home, it has been suggested that photos could make a vital difference.

Mark Milner, chief executive of Primelocation.com, says that anyone who is looking to sell their home online should ensure that they have sufficient high-quality images.

He claims that photos are "fundamental in helping to sell properties" and ensuring that for sale boards are not up for too long.

"Buyers searching online see images as a prerequisite and ideally like to see a photo of each room, plus one of the exterior," Mr Milner added.

The expert believes that it is "essential" that any prospective buyer can see themselves living in your property, watching television in the front room and cooking dinner in the kitchen.

In December, the average number of transactions per estate agency fell to 10.1, down from 10.6 in November, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
