Millions of Brits 'financially vulnerable'
The need for landlords to give out section 8 eviction notices
may soon be on the rise, as new figures show 3.2 million households are currently in financial difficulty for a variety of reasons.
Statistics from the Consumer Credit Counselling Service
(CCCS) reveal 6.2 million households are financially vulnerable in light of their current debt levels.
Two million renters were found to be in trouble, which could lead them to end up in rent arrears
or failing to meet the terms of their tenancy agreement.
Lord Stevenson of Balmacara, chairman of CCCS, said: "What this report shows is that the pain is going to spread wider and affect many more people than many commentators have previously assumed."
He revealed that the group was contacted by 418,000 people last year alone, which shows just how difficult it is for the public to make ends meet in the current economic climate.
