Business confidence 'returning to UK'

by Christopher Evans

Organisations are demonstrating increased confidence in the British economy, experts have said.

Rosa Wilkinson, managing director of UKTI, said that those running a business are seeing new opportunities and are seizing them.

"Businesses that are going to succeed and grow are those that constantly strive to identify new customers wherever they might be," she noted.

Adrian Tripp, chief executive of the European Business Awards, added that businesses across the continent need to become more positive.

"It's the business community that creates wealth in Europe, so we need to make sure we encourage and recognise those that are doing well, with the idea being that we can share that knowledge with other people," he said of the awards.

Recent research by the European Business Awards found that five in five companies have predicted growth for next year.
