Legal costs of work are 'unclear'

People are often left bewildered by the prices involved in legal work, says Leeds law firm Wilsons Solicitors.

The firm is set to offer an alphabetical list of its legal services including their prices in an attempt to clarify costs, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

John Wilson, owner of the group, told the paper: "Solicitors usually work on hourly rates so the client has little or no idea how much a matter is going to cost them until they receive a bill at the end".

Mr Wilson continued to say that the legal profession was "years behind" in terms of modernisation when compared to other services.
