There are so many worries and dilemmas we all face when thinking about our finances.

Shall I invest in shares or property? Which ISA performs the best? How can I avoid all this tax? How will I finance my children through university? Which mortgage shall I go for? Should I switch energy suppliers?

These are all very important questions. And many Lawpack books and guides will be able to offer you ways to answer these questions.

But in a sense there is no point at all in accumulating wealth and property if you don't allow yourself a say in what is going to happen to it.

A shocking 64% of us haven't made a will. By making a will, you can say exactly who you want to benefit from your life's work and savings. And without one you may well ask yourself: why bother.

Here's what the Law Society says about making a will:

"If you care about what happens to your property after you die, you should make a will."

I'd go further: if you are going to worry about your finances now, start by making a will. Without a will, your saving and accumulating are meaningless.

Don't let it all go to waste: give yourself a say by making a will.
