According to the Sun, the pair have been at odds over a number of issues, including her desire to adopt another child.
And although the singer wanted to postpone the divorce while on tour, an unnamed source told the paper that her movie director husband has had enough.
"Guy said if they were going to split, it has to be now - and their marriage will finally be over in a matter of weeks," the source was quoted as saying.
Should the report be confirmed it would mark the end of an eight-year marriage and with Madonna believed to be worth £300 million, the pair may wish to consider making new wills in the event that they divorce.
Recently Heather Mills told Hello! magazine that she had donated much of the £24.3 million settlement from her divorce from Paul McCartney to charity.
